The restoration of the first group of houses has been completed
While supervising the works, the Technical Assistance Team of the Fener and Balat Programme keeps in touch with the owners and tries to meet their demands as far as the conditions permits. This process contributes to increase the awareness and knowledge of the community about restoration:. they become aware of the mistakes they have done while they were repairing these houses and learn what the right materials and techniques are.
The documents for the second group of houses have been prepared and submitted to the Protection Board for their review and approval.Recently, the Protection Board approvals have been taken. The tender documents is also submitted to the European Commission Delegation (ECD), which is the contracting authority, for their review and comments. The second tender is expected to be announced during the following months.
